#OTD 1377: King Edward III dies at Sheen. He is succeeded by his grandson, Richard II.
1415: the Battle of Agincourt. Despite being outnumbered the English archers dealt heavy damage to the French who became bogged down in the wet terrain. The death toll amongst the French was extremely high.
